Holly would Dream is one of my fave books of all time- its up there with bitter chocolate! Its a story of a girl who is okay to start off with, then everything starts crashing down and suddenly her whole world get turned around. A rags to riches story!
The story starts off Holly Ross and her fiance Allessandro in their own flat in New york City. She looks just like Audrey Hepbur, with the same short haircut but fuller lips, thinner nose and more darker eyes. Holly works in fashion whereas Allessandro works in the theater- he recently worked as a actor in Fiddler on the Roof and now is going to starin Beuty and the beast. Holly works in a Fashion Museum and is hoping to be promted as her boss tanya, promised her.
On her way to work she gets drenched by a passing Maybach on the streets. The car stops and lets Holly inside. The person turns out to be Denis King. He is really sweet and wont to take care of her. He drops her off and Holly goes into the Musuem’s vault to take a piece of Corny’s collection to wear.
Tanya gives the job to Sammie Kitplatt instead of Holly. Holly is upset so Nigel (the gay guy that repairs dresses) takes her to have a drink. During the drink Holly gets a phone call from Allesandro and it turns out that he’s in jail.
Holly finds out that he was jailed for “doing it” with a minor- 16 year old girl. Allesandro swears that she looked 18 and begs Holly for forgivness. Holly does but the next day he dumps her and holly packs up and leaves. She is going to go to her Pops flat/bassement. Her 3 legged cat kitty, jumps out of her hands in the New York streets and she lets go of her suitcase to chase after him, a bus hits her suitcase and all her designer clothes come splashing out and destroyed.
Holly stays at her Pops flat/bassment, he takes cares of dogs. She goes back to work and promises Tanya that if she gets a million pound donation she will promte her and Sammie will get her job. the Deal is on!!!
Holly takes Pops with her to the Tiffany Cruise. Nigel makes Holly take lookalike Audrey Hephurn gowns with her on holiday but she looses them and it turns out she actually took the REAL gowns. She makes her butler john find them. Holly meets Carleen and her gang of pals, who turns out that denis King is their also.
The book goes on and Holly finds true love

Gods Behaving Badly by Marie Phillips
Being immortal isn’t all its cracked up to be. Life’s hard for a Greek god in the 21st century; nobody believes in you, your own family doesn’t respect you, and your stuck in a dilapidated hovel in North London with too many siblings and not enough hot water. But for Artemis (Goddess of hunting, professional dog walker) and Apollo (god of the sun, TV physic) there’s no way out. Until one day a meek cleaner and her would-be boyfriend come into their lives, and turn their whole world upside down.

________________________________________
Hi, sorry i haven’t been posting in a while since these reviews take me up to an hour to write out!
So I bought this book last year to pass time and in each and every newspaper they gave amazing views of this book and 5/5 which i don’t understand! Its quite a adventure and i like this book because I’ve never read a book like this and its good for some change!
The story starts off with Goddess Artemis who is walking her friends dogs out into the park when she sees a tree that shouldnt be there. Luckily enough she finds out her twin brother Apollo did this and sets off back home in an angry mood.
Now this book has some adult language and scenes in this so I’ll give it an 14+
Apollo on the other hand is with Aphrodite (his auntie) in the bathroom “doing” stuff. Afterwards Aphrodite (Venus) goes to take a shower and squeals because there is no hot water, she puts her best smile towards Apollo and asks with their magic if he could heat up some water for her but he says no. Then bursts in Artemis and demands Apollo what happened the night before after he turned a mortal into a tree.
the truth is the the whole entire gods are turning weak and they do not know the purpose of this so they try and not to waste their powers.
Artemis and Aphrodite make Apollo swear upon Stynx ( a river in the underworld) to never harm mortals if not necessary. The story goes onto Apollo’s Tv show where everything turns bad as his cousin Eros (Cupid) makes him fall in love with one of the audience members- unlucky Alice.
The we go into Alice’s storyline. Shes 32 and is a cleaner, her best friend is Neil who looks like a rodent who is an engineer. They both love each other dearly but are both shy so never say anything about their true feelings.
When Apollo’s show is aired on TV, Aphrodite makes Hermes (The god of condiences) make Alice come to the house for whatever reason.
Alice gets fired from her cleaning job as her boss saw her on TV and she goes free-lance and ends up on their door-step. Sadly the gods house is in a complete stae with mould, moss, vermin everywhere so Artemis hires her. Apollo is in a complete state as he wants to find out where the mysterouis girl is.
The next day Apollo finds Alice in the house cleaning and is shocked at what he has found and is very happy, he talks a lot while she listens.
Now Im not going to go too far into the story as i dont want to spoil this for you but here is a short summary;
Alice doesnt love Apollo in return and runs away, Apollo kills Alice and Alice is sent to the underworld. Apollo feels guilty and goes to see Neil, who doesnt beilve Apollo is a god. Apollo shuts the sun out for 3 seconds then faints leaving the world in total darkness. Artemis and Neil go down into the underworld to find Alice and take her back home where all the Gods find their strength and Apollo wakes up!
___________________________________________________
My Fave charcter has to be either Artemis or Aphrodite or Zeus. Artemis because she is so strong in the book and her love of dogs, Aphrodite becuase she brings very special funny moments in the book and has an outstanding personality and Zeus because he is so funny i was basicially weeing my pants =P
The book is addictive and ive re-read this book a couple of times. I dont agree with other book reviews as it wasnt 100%.

_______________________________________
I chose this book without realising it would be so great! I chose this book because of personal reason things and i liked the front cover
It is one of the best books ever!
The book starts with a prolgue in Chicago USA 1999 then the next chapter goes back in time to 1985.
The first chapter begins wih the story of Ameline in Hati- She’s cleaning Laure’s family house like usual when she spots a letter for Laure on the fireplace, she quickly hides the letter and runs off to see Laure. The next chapter is in Melanie’s story- across the world in London. She’s Mike Miller’s daughter, who is a very famous rock-star who she hardly sees. Melanie is screaming at her mother becuase its her birthday and her dad hasnt come to see her yet. The 3rd chapter goes to Laure who s talking to her Grandmother who she is terrified of.Her Grandmother finds out theat Laure has read the letter, they have an arguement and Laure is sent back to her room. Laure is dying to go to Chicago as her mother (who left her when she was 2 years old) is waiting for her.
The next few chapters is an another introduction to for the 3 girls with each chapter to its own but it doesn’t always go in order. The strange thing is that Ameline’s and Laure’s storyline is kind of joined together whereas Melanie’s is far off and totally different but she plays a vital part in the end of the book.
So in the next 20 chapters Melanie is in LA as she accidentally done something wrong o her mother which cause her father to send her away for some peace, Melanie only did what she did as she wanted some love and attention but it cause the disruption of her mother’s marriage.
In Hati Ameline and Laure are in the attic looking for some of Belle’s (Laure’s mother) old dresses, they find a perfect dress for the party that Laure’s going to. AT the party Laure is suddenly noticed by one of the hottest boys in town but embarrasses her.
Then the story goes further on with Laure becoming pregnant and leaving hati to go to Chicago where she finds out the state her mother is living in, Ameline moves away from the St Lazare household because she is too upset that Laure is gone as they were like sisters rather than master and servant. Ameline goes to work as a chambermaid in a hotel. Melanie becomes involved with a relanshionship with Steve Di Marco, who secretly is a high-class drug dealer, then Melanie is friends with Kim and they become best buddies while Kim syles and changes Melanie.
Laure is pregnant and gives her baby away for money but then her mother steals the money and Laure leaves and works in a burito restraunt andfinds some friends she also finds another job as a model (dirty) and makes a video which will cost her the fall down of her next relanshonship. She then works in the Blue room where she meets Daniel.
Ameline meets a strange man called Ian who is trying to write a story about Hati but can find the inspration but suddenly he sees he can find Hati through Ameline. Suddenly something happens in Hatie and Ian is urged to take Ameline to England wih him where she sets up a cafe.
Melanie leaves LA and goes back to England as Steve cheated on her. SHe goes back to live with her mother and finds a new husband called Marc.
__________________________
I wont spoil the story for you as the one main thing which keeps you guled to the book is the adveture of each girl throughout the book.
My favourite charchter is Laure. I think she is he main charcter in the whole book. Shes strong independant and bold and is never afraid to speak her mind, even in her poorest days she finds a job and starts her life back up again. My most hated charcter is Belle becuase at the start of the sotry she is supposed to be an amazing goddess who moved away and i felt awfully ashamed of Laure as Belle stole her money and i think it was right of Laure to leave Belle.
This book is amazingly written and i read it all the time nowadays!
The only thing i dislike about the book is the ending! I thought Daniel and Laure made a perfect couple and i wished she would of stayed wih him rather than Marc which drops 1/2 star off the rating!

Ive watched the movie and now read them book which i think are TOTALLY different!! I remember watching the movie yonks ago but i cant remember what actually happens but i know the whole story but to be honest the film didnt mention the whole Legend of the twins things which was the main point of the whole story plot!! Its not like Vampire Lestat because i couldnt re-read it as it was too boring unlike the bok before i never got bored of it, the only thing that brought this book together was the mystery of the Legend of the Twins and i got so frustrated because Anne Rice’s story plot drove me crazy because it was so mysterouis!!!
_____________________________________
The story begins with Lestat introducing the book, he is writing this book after he’s defeated Akasha and brings the story 10 days before the concert.
To cut the story staight instead of medling around:
The 2nd chapter starts of with the mysterouis Legend of the Twins where there is an old man- who has been listening Lestat’s music and has had a weird dream about Two red-haired twins. he has been studying these Two twins for all his life and gets his daughter to call a starnge women who searches for the twins with him. His daughter calls the strange women who is coming on an airplane very soon, but in the middle of the night he dies and on a piece of paper it says “In the jungle- walking”, his daughter gives this piece of paper to the old mans friend.
Then the next chapter is the life of Baby Jenks, a newbie vampire who is part of the Fang gang. At this point lots of Vampire covens in the world are being set alight and everyone is dying. She tells us the story of her life- while listening to Lestat’s music and is also having dreams of the weird dreams which she cant get her head out of! Then she goes and kills her parents and buries them, but she meets a strange man and Akasha sets them on fire and she dies.
The next few chapters tell the stories of other vampires Pandora, Daniel, Khayman and Jesse. The one that most confuses me is Daniel’s story as he is best buddies with Armand- and are they supposed to be lovers? Or are they just good friends? Well anyways it just tells you the story of them in the present. But the main point is they are all having dreams of the Strange twins
Then the story goes to Lestat’s concert and the awakening of Akasha.
SPOILERS COMING UP DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU ARE CONFUSED AT THIS POINT OF THE LEGEND OF THE TWINS IN THE STORY!! YOU UAVE BEEN WARNED!!
____________________________
I made this part of the book- because I myself got confused on the story plot of this so i’ve done this to help people
well everyone is getting dreams of this:
Two red-haired twins in long white robes kneeling beside a dead body with villagers surroding them. On two plates there is a brain and a heart which they are about to eat but then soldiers come and destory the whole entire villiage and one twin gets her eyeballs ripped out and one twin gets her tongue cut out
____
Now im sure if you have read Vampire Lestat that the story of Enkil and Akasha is the other version whereas Maharet’s in the truth- where time began . . .
It starts of with two twins long long ago before akasha and Enkil are made vampires- Mekare and Maharet, who are witches (who talk to spirits) and get this gift from their mother, the spirits talk to them about the future and whats happening in far away countries. They become very well known and soon the King and Queen of Egypt want to see them- but they decline their offer. Suddely a few months their mother dies of old age and in their villiage when a person dies people eat the dead person’s oragans because they believe that a part of the person is still there- like a dead man’s objects have still a part of them so they eat them (the dead body- not the objects). They burn the body and perfrom infront of everyone a special ceremony since this happens all the time, but as they are about to eat ther mother soldiers come and mascare the whole entire villiage as other people disagree on eating dead people. The two twins are taken to Egypt to see the Queen and King. They soon discovered they only did this to get their attention.
Makare and Maharet tell the King and Queen there is no such thing as Gods such as Amon ra and Osiris and they go mental. When locked up Mekare and Maharet discover a bad spirit who are hard to control who is called Amel and causes them trouble. then Makare and Maharet and raped by Khayman as punishment who is the Kings assaistant and The the spirit Amel goes crazy as he reads the hearts of the twins and pesters the King and Queen. The twins go to a place called kemet to live in peace.
The spirit Amel howeverin Eygpt has had a special taste for blood, so when Akasha gets stabbed he enters akasha’s bllood stream and she becomes the first vampire and has her first taste of blood from Enkil. Then Khayman is sent to the twins in Kemet as Akasha calls for them. The twins discover that the only way Akasha can get rid of Amel is by killing herself which she isnt able to do so in a rage of fury Akasha makes the soldiers cut out the tongue of Mekare and the eyes out of Maharet. One twin is sent to the east and one to the west and they never meet again
_________________________
I wont go into tooo much detail as i might of spoiled to much for you, but i can tell you the film has skipped out most of the important part of the book and im dissapointed.
My favourite charchter in this book has to be Maharet as i felt so sorry for her when she was explaining her story to all the vampires. \my most hated charchter was Baby Jenks as she seemed crazy and she didnt understand the true meaning of being a vampire and i didnt like her gang.
For me, i liked this book a lot but second time reading is really boring

The Vampire Lestat
“Ah, the taste and feel of blood when all passion and greed is sharpened in that one desire!”
Lestat: a vampire- but very much not the conventional undead, for Lestat is the truly alive. lestat is vivid, ecstatic, stagestruck, and in his extravagant story he plunges from the lasciviousness of eighteenth-century Paris to the demonic Egypt of prehistory, from fin-de-siecle New Orleans to the frenectic twentieth-century world of rock super stardom- as pursed by the living and the dead, he searches across time for the secret of his own dark immortality.

___________________________________________
I only picked up this book because my friends are absolutely obsessed with the Vampire Chronicles- One loves the movie Queen of the Damned (which I’m dying to read- Ash), one is reading The first book Interview with a vampire (Lor) and the other is a friend of a friend who has read most of the series (Ali)!
The book starts off with Lestat (the main character) intoducing himself, he was born in 1780’s. he has fair hair and colbat blue eyes and 6 feet tall. Its a very interesting opening as he gets everything out in the open before you start reading so at first it reminds me of a book of memoirs (like Memoirs of a Geisha). When you get to Pge 31. thats when the whole story begins at the start of Lestat de Lioncourt at the age of 21 living in Auvergne France. He’s the youngest of all the 3 brothers, his fathers most hated but his mothers most loved son. It starts off, in Lestat’s villiage there is loads of sheeps being killed by 3 wolfs, Lestat is known to be a very good hunter so he goes up to the mountains with 2 of his massive dogs and gun and pistols and a horse. He fights with all his might, he evtually kills the wolfs but ends up losing everything.
The next day people from the viliage come to give him new boots and a fur cape lined with the dead wolf’s fur, which he wears proudly. Nicolas de Lenfent presents him with these gifts, Lestat is intrigued by Nicolas as his mother tells him the gossip about him. Lestat then finds Nicolas in a Pub and they get chatting. Later on in the story they call this “our conversation”. Lestat and Nicolas become best of buddies and later on they have plans of escaping to Paris, where Nicolas went to university but left to study violin with Mozart. Lestat gets help from his dieing mother who gives him money stating “I want you to take this money, so when im dieing i will know my son is in Paris”. Lestat takes the money and sets to go to Paris with Nicolas. Lestat and Nicolas find jobs at a theatre, nicolas plays the violin in the percussion and Lestat helps the actors with things, finally the day comes when Lestat gets to perform, showing his talent he gets a regular slot in the show. Suddenly as the the days goes by Lestat feels like someone in the audience is watching him all the time but he cant remember what they look like.
Suddenly one day Lestat gets kidnapped and trys to run away from a monster which he doesnt know what it is, finally it reveals itself. A VAMPIRE!! The vampire takes Lestat to a castle overlooking Paris and sucks his blood, then finally Lestat drinks the starnge vampires blood. he then reveals himself as Magnus. Later Magnus sets up a fire and tells Lestat some tips and hints then tells him to go through a secret passageway to find something, then Magnus jumps in the fire where lestat is now crying against the stone walls. He then find the energy to go through the passage way and finds a coffin and gold, silver, amazing jewellerry!
The next parts of the story is about Lestat coming to terms about being a vampire and then comes a surprise when he truns his mother and nicolas into vampires, he then finds himself on the trail of finding marius the starnge old vampire which armand explains lestat too. Then he finds Akasha and Enkil statues who saves his life.

I found this book interesting! Its one of the best books out there ive ever read! Its full of adveture and mystery (which are my fave types of books) and it i never wanted to put the book down and cant wait to read Queen of the damned
I only got to page 300 on my first day reading then finished it the next day as i was so eager to finish the book but it ends on a cliffhanger as Akasha awakens. I difinatly recommend this to ANYONE but i guess the age range is 14 and over and somes scences cant be quite explicit but it depends!
________________________
My favourite charchter was Armand or marius as theres so much mystery to them! In the vampire chronicles there is the story of armand (theres also one in this book but its only 5 chapters long) which i cant wait to read! Maruis’s story is sooo amazing about he came to Akasha and Enkil and i love his quick witting mysterouis charcter! The most hated charcter i have to say is either lesta’s mother (when she becomes a vampire) and also Nicolas (when he becomes crazy) because they become slighly irritating!

P.S I Love You
Some people wait their whole lives to find their soul mates. But not Holly and Gerry.
They were childhood sweethearts- no one could imagine Holly and Gerry without each other.
Until the unthinkable happens. Gerry’s death devastates Holly. But as her 30th birthday looms Holly discovers that Gerry has left her a bundle of notes, gently guiding her into a new life without him, each signed “P.S, I love you”.
With some help from her friends, and her noisy and loving family, Holly finds herself laughing, crying, singing, dancing- and being braver than ever before.
Life is for living, she realises- but it always helps if there’s an angel watching over you.

Now I read the book after the film came out but i still havent seen the movie which for me is a good thing. The book is actually quite large on the edition ive got.Now of course yet again it isnt my kind of book as it was one of the books yet again my sister wanted to read but didnt have time to. Now i have horrible memories of this book, as i remember sitting in my sick bed with a throbbing cold reading this book but it was enjoyabe and laughable in some parts.
It begins with sad Holly, the widow, after her husband Gerry has died of cancer- sometimes in parts of the book you want to cry with Holly as it was such a painful loss and she just sits there on her couch all day crying and doing nothing, but soon she starts to see sense and starts putting her life back together again with help from her family and friends but she gets painful flashbacks of her and gerry when they were happily together in their home counrty of Ireland.
Later in the book Holly finds a new job and a potential boyfriend, while some parts of her family are going through a rough patch like her brother richard who has just spilt up with his wife and lost his job but secretly has a thing for gardening. Suddenly one day Holly finds a letter from Gerry and every month follows his advice and he sets her tasks which she completes- yet she knows his letters aren’t going to last forever as he’s only set out for her 10 different letters at the start of each month and with the help of her friends Sharon and Denise she finally gets into her shoes and follows what Gerry has instore for her.
The most funniest part of the book was when Holly, Sharon, Abbey, Ciara and Denise get filmed by Declan for the Channel Four docmentry about “Club life” but actually is about Holly’s 30th Birthday party where they go to a famous nightclub called Boudoir and Holly pretends to be The Princess of Finland to get past the bouncers!

Right, you may see that some of my reviews are different, as i only writr long ones for books i loved but it is quite difficult on something to say about i didnt enjoy entirely
______________________________
In this book i didnt really like or hate any of the charcters as for me they were all a bit “blah!” as in they had no structure whatsoever and i found that quite hard to believe for a bestseller but if i had to choose it would be Declan but i dont know the reason why! This book for me was quite sopy and nothing special about it but i thought Holly would end up with Daniel as i thought they were meant to be together so that minuses a few stars for me as endings are very important in a book for me.

This book isn’t really kind of my book at first, as it was my sisters book which she wanted to read but didn’t have the time to. Now I’ve read Devil Wears Prada which was an incredibly funny book for me which i loved but Chasing Harry Winston was something else. In some parts you felt really sorry for the characters others were quite sick and pervy and sometimes you understood the characters with their troubles like they were your best friend-with them bursting out onto your shoulder hoping for some advice.
The First chapter starts off with Leigh in her flat introducing her, which i find incredibly funny as her hating of clogs because of her upstairs neighbour. The setting is yet again in new York with Leigh working as an editor. Emmy comes knocking on Leigh’s door crying her eyes out because her boyfriend Duncan has ended their relanshionship as at the gym he met a virgin blonde trainer who he cheated with on with Emmy. Next in comes Adrianna, the beautiful Argentinian heiress who likes to sleep around and drink. They try to solve Emmy’s problem.
The next few chapters are about each other lives and how they dream of meeting the man. Leigh is bored out of her wits and has the perfect life but doesnt know what she’s missing, Adrianna wants someone who will look afrer her and she is tired of having small affairs with married men, Emmy wants to be a bit more like Adrianna instead of being a one-mans-girl. They both set each other challenges and everything comes shooting backwards!

This book was great, but when i first got the book the font was soooo tiny!!! It didnt take me long to finish the book, it seems more of a book for older women than girls like me though im sure late teenagers would enjoy this book as my sister and her friends did. Of course Chasing Harry Winston is about chasing a diamond ring which relates to Adrianna and her drive to find a suitable husband. I actaully prefered devil Wears Parda comapred to Chasing harry winston. The book was missing something, the book was mostly dialogue but full of description between girly chats with one another.
Be warned though, many adult scenes which i had to skip through the book but other than that funny and a jolly read. To be honest i cant be bothered reading it again as it took me quite a hassle, I guess i could read it again but its clearly been a while
_____________________
My faourite charchter was Otis the parot and my most hated was Emmy. I loved Otis because she was so cute when he kept on saying “Fat girl fat girl” to Adrianna when actually hhe was talking to herself and Adrianna made her take a parrot diet which i thought was cute in a way. I didnt like Emmy becuase she seemed boring and miserable half the time and i didnt really pick up on her story line.

personally Ive read the Luxe several times and its an amazing book! Sometimes the author describes it so well i can imagine The Luxe being made into a film- an amazing costume drama with flowing skirts and men in suits and top hats which would be beautiful to watch. Of course some people may know The Luxe is now a series of books starting with of course the Luxe, second Rumors and coming very soon Envy which i cant wait to get my hands on at the start of next month!!
Now at the start of the book there is a Prologue at the start of Elizabeth Holland’s Funeral with all the gory details of everyone dressed in black-crying, the whole funeral atmosphere but once the ceremony starts in bursts Elizabeth’s sister Diana who comes in with a smirk and takes a seat in the front row which leads you to suspect she had something to do with the death of her sister, as Elizabeth was supposedly drowned in the River Hudson but nobody yet can find her body and the only person who was there at the time of death was Elizabeth’s best friend, Penelope.
I think anyone who likes Gossip Girl or OC or One Tree Hill will love this book!
So then it turns back the clock a few months before Elizabeth’s so-called death where you are introduced at the start of the chapter an invitation to Penelope’s Hayes family ball at her new house in Fifth Avenue with everyone dressed in costumes. At the start of the first chapter there is a conversation between Elizabeth and her mother who is still mourning after Elizabeth’s father. At first you know Elizabeth is 18 years old- in those days old enough to marry. Elizabeth has just come back from a long holiday in Paris. May i mention that the book is based around New York’s Elite society so all eyes are on everyone as they all are rich and beautiful.Elizabeth is made to dance with Percival Coddington a cruel, ugly, terrifying but rich man. All Elizabeth can think about is this mysterious man who she cant get her head around.
After a few chapeters it is made clear the mysterious man is Will Keller, the Holland’s coachman- which brings us to the start of the tale of forbidden love. Late that night Elizabeth goes to the servants rooms and it is made clear sleeps with Will, as they talk about their big escape in the future.
The next morning Elizabeth and Diana are told by their mother that they are in a financial crisis since their father’s death he was in lots of debt and the only way they can get through this is if Elizabeth gets married, being the oldest child. Elizabeth is shocked and terrified whereas Diana is excited, being the odd one out. Diana is at the age of 16, only has books as her friends and unlike her sister not beautiful. She hardly gets any attention as all eyes are on the golden girl, Elizabeth. She doesn’t talk much to anyone and only speaks to her diary. She is very excited as she thinks she will be like a character in one of her books, from riches to rags and thinks she has nothing to loose. her mum and Elizabeth are horrified with her behavior and sends her to her room.
After a few chapters it is made clear Elizabeth’s friend, Penelope is after the attention and admiration of the society and newspaper and is seeking a husband, most likely Henry Schoonmaker. Henry is part of the Schoonmaker clan- the richest family in new York’s society. He is of 20 years of age and is incredibly handsome and all the ladies in society are after him hoping in the hand of marriage. He is a bit of a playboy and womanizer. It is made clear Henry and Penelope are having a small affair behind closed doors and sleep together most often.
After the next chapter Henry proposes to Elizabeth, which shocks them both as Henry never wanted to get married to Elizabeth and it was his fathers idea. On the day when Elizabeth accepts when just leaving he kisses her sister Diana, as she does not know he is going to be married to her sister. Both know it is a start of an ugly yet beautiful relationship. After Henry leaves Elizabeth comes knocking on the door of Diana’s room and tells her the news, that they wont be poor anymore. Diana is very upset and congratulates her sister, sharing the ugly secret of their kiss by herself. She thought Henry actually had an interest in her.
This is where the whole events splatter into an adventure. Where you see Elizabeth’s and Henry’s wedding coming closer and closer when Henry gets closer to Diana and both fall in love with each other- and same goes for Elizabeth and Will. Penelope spoils everything by blackmailing Elizabeth which causes for her fake death as all Penelope wants to be is with Henry but he does not love her which makes her become angrier and keen on revenge- yet she does not know about him and Diana and only thinks he loves Elizabeth. Lina, the Hollands maid is also added to this mess and mucks everything up for the chances of Elizabeth to be in society by selling some gossip about Elizabeth.

My Favourite character in the story has to be Elizabeth, the most hated characters for me must be Lina. I loved Elizabeth’s character as she walked with poise and beauty through the most messed up sea of storms. Lina was the most annoying as she was the Holland’s maid yet she wants to be part of society which cannot be yet she intends upon it and makes it slighty through after being fired. She only sells the gossip about Elizabeth becuase she is jelous as she loves Will too yet she knows about his and Elizabeths relanshonship with each other which makes her hate Elizabeth even more.
The story is beautiful written out and im suggesting if you loved the Luxe of course you want to read Rumors as that is where the story countinues. I bought the Luxe without even knowing it was going to be an amazing read, the only reason I bought it was because of the beautiful dress worn by who i think should be Elizabeth and i thought it was really pretty
This book is definatly on for the girls as im not too sure guys would be into this kinda stuff but mabye some or mabye few. For me it costs £6.99 but it was definatly worth it becuase it is one of those strange books which you can read over and over again without getting bored!
~Enjoy Reading The Luxe
